Start With Why
This TEDTalk may be one of the best yet, and it’s from 2009.
Time Management = Less Social Media

I’ve recently taken a break from social media, specifically Facebook. I still occasionally look at Instagram and Twitter but I spend much much less time on them. I felt I was getting to caught up in the minutia of the posts and splitting my focus wondering what was going on and recently posted. I realized […]
Books to Help With Your Productivity

Saw a great blog post on Lifehack that is a must read. It lists the top 20 books you should read if you’re a devotee of productivity or just need to become unstuck in your daily routine. Give it a read here.
The Sad State of Music

In year’s past I’ve spent a pretty good deal of time listening to, writing and playing music. I’ve recently determined something. Today’s music isn’t very good. There is a great deal of evidence to back up that statement. Exhibit A – The radio today. I usually listen to classical or audiobooks while driving but if […]
The West Wing

Just got through going back through all seven seasons of The West Wing. This is without a doubt the best written drama I’ve had the pleasure of watching. It aired 1999 – 2006 and was a weekly show revolving around the inner workings of the Josiah Bartlet presidency. Martin Sheen played the President and the […]
Kevin & Bethany Paige – Beautifully Broken
I’ve had the pleasure of owning the new Kevin & Bethany Paige CD “Beautifully Broken” since their performance at our conference in June. After listening to it in it’s entirety I can honestly say it is one of the best start to finish set of songs I have heard in the last 20 years. No kidding. […]
My Favorite Songs – Part IV – Green Tinted Sixties Mind
It’s said that the title comes from the way 60’s movies have a green tint to them but all I can say is this song has one of the catchiest hooks of anything I’ve heard lately. The song is from Mr Big‘s 1991 album Lean Into It, which also had the hit single To Be […]
My Favorite Songs – Part III – Champagne High
There is something about this song that I can’t put my finger on but it’s also one of my favorites (read about two others here & here). The chorus is catchy and the mix is very well done. Sister Hazel has been around since 1993 and hails from Gainesville, FL. Champagne High is off of […]
My Favorite Songs – Part II – Roll To Me
I think Del Amitri‘s ‘Roll To Me’ might be the perfect 2 1/2 minute pop song. Great harmony, groove and the ultimate sing-a-long chorus. Can’t remember where I heard this first but pretty sure it was on FM100 back in the middle 90’s. Take a listen (the video is grainy but the audio is clear).
A New Series – My Favorite Songs
Most people who know me well know that I love music, I always have and hope always will. Music has the unique ability to transport you to a different time and place along with instantly bringing back memories. So what better series of posts related to memories than a few posts on my favorite songs. […]
